If you’ve ever looked up into the night’s sky and said, “I want my ashes up there,” then there’s a service for you. It’s called Elysium Space, and for $2,000 you (or what’s left of you) can orbit Planet Earth peacefully for several months before burning up on reentry.
What’s really interesting about the whole thing is that it comes with an app that can track your ashes as they orbit the Earth, letting your loved ones know where exactly in the Solar System you are.
You can book your space ride today, but you’ll have to share the rocket with a hundred or so other dead people, according to TechCrunch. The inaugural liftoff is sometime next year.
