Wasting Away

It’s no secret that we here in North America waste a lot of food. Ironically, in an effort to save money, big box stores like Costco have encouraged us to purchase more food than we can eat (the “buy one get one free” mentality.) It’s time we started listening to some of the world’s top chefs, who often judge their success by how small their green bin is.

While you don’t necessarily have to start dumpster-diving behind mid-town fine food shops, there are easy ways to eat cheaply with little waste. Don’t let your fridge become a food tomb.
