One of the most annoying things that can happen while dining out is an absent server with your bill. You’ve eaten, you’re ready to go, yet the waiter or waitress is off in some other dimension. If only you could have a device at your table where you could swipe your credit card and leave.
Well, according to CNN, it’s coming. It’s called RAIL and it’s a portable touchscreen device the size of a restaurant billfold. RAIL displays a digital version of your cheque and makes splitting the bill, adding tips and swiping your credit card super quick.
RAIL costs about $200 each and is currently being tested in a few restaurant chains in the United States. Behold the RAIL in action.
