Jeans are the cornerstone of any man’s casual wardrobe. They’re easy to wear, easy to maintain…but sometimes, not so easy to buy. We’ve done the legwork so you don’t have to. Here, our favourite spots in town to buy jeans.

Duo
The up-market half of this two-faced boutique sells beautiful – but bank-breaking – labels like Dior and Kris Van Assche. Luckily, the shop’s other half is more affordable, home to Montreal-designed Naked & Famous, as well as Nudie, Cheap Mondays and J. Lindberg. 24 & 30 Prince Arthur St. W., 514-848-0880.

Levi’s
There’s a reason that people have been buying Levi’s jeans since the 19th century. No company knows denim better, whether they’re producing durable, classic 501s, or the more stylish (and pricey) Capital E line. 705 St. Catherine St. W., 514-286-1318.

Rooney
Art gallery meets hip Old Montreal boutique at Rooney, where lines like Corpus and Our Legacy sit beside tasteful sweaters and T-shirts. 395 Notre-Dame St. W., 514-543-6234.

Jeans Jeans Jeans
The name (which you can imagine being said with increasing frenzy) says it all. Whether you’re seeking a classic straight leg pair or mall rat-appropriate bejeweled parachute pants, knowledgeable staff will sift through the enormous selection to help you find what you’re seeking. 5525 De Gaspe Ave., 514-279-3303.

Michel Brisson
Both locations offer options you might otherwise have to visit New York to find. Think Acne, Tiger of Sweden, Zegna and, that denim embodiment of Parisian cool, A.P.C. 1012 Laurier Ave. W., 514-270-1012 & 384 Saint-Paul St. W., 514-285-1012.

  1. Hi guys,

All of the above stores are great, but you left out one pretty great premium denim boutique in Montreal, Buzz Jeans.

They have a location on Monkland Ave. in NDG and another on St-Viateur in Mile End (the second store carries a lot more discounted merchandise so deals are to be had there).

Great denim brands they carry for guys include: Nudie Jeans, Levis, Naked & Famous, AG/Adriano Goldshmeid jeans, 7 for all Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, True Religion, Cheap Monday and about a million others.

Check out their online store too. Canadians get super cheap shipping and pay zero customs or duty charges: http://buzzjeans.com/Shop/

    Thanks!
