Toronto’s Best Power Lunch Spots

You’ve got to break eggs to make an omelette – and you’ve got to break bread to make a deal. Here, Toronto’s best power lunch destinations.

Canoe
With floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the little people below, no dining destination emanates power like Canoe. Oh, and the haute Canadian cuisine – including sumptuous pan seared foie gras and tender roasted Alberta lamb sirloin  – is pretty outstanding, too. Mains, $21 – $26. 66 Wellington St. W., 416-364-0054.

Ki
Whether your crew is sipping sake over sushi or tucking into AAA filet mignon (pictured), Ki’s dishes are meant for sharing – but you know that winner takes all. Private dining areas are perfect for a working lunch; celebrate in the lively bar once you’ve closed the deal. Mains, $16 – $32. 181 Bay St., 416-308-5888.

Bymark
What’s a $35 burger for if not power lunches? (An exception: Dangerous Dan’s tongue-in-cheek offering.) Plus, on a warm spring day (wait: it will come), there’s no better way to make your fortune than over cold beers in the courtyard terrace. Mains, $25 – $35. 66 Wellington St. W., 416-777-1144.

Nota Bene
Unlike its peers, Nota Bene requires visitors to think outside the PATH, and make the long journey over to University. But calling a meeting here sends a clear message: When I feel like eating a lobster salad with bacon, blue cheese and buttermilk dressing, you better believe I go out and I get it. Now, sign here. Mains, $17 – $25. 180 Queen St. W., 416-977-6400.
