Poll: Sex and Politics

Politicians and sex scandals. They go hand in hand, like peanut butter and jam. Or Tiger Woods and, uh, sex scandals.

When news broke this morning that Toronto mayoral hopeful Adam Giambrone allegedly cheated on his live-in partner with a 19-year-old university student, the City Councillor joined a long list of distinguished philandering politicians, including Bill Clinton, John Edwards, and, of course, Silvio “Il Cavaliere” Berlusconi. We want to know: Why do so many politicians cheat? And does it matter if they do?

  1. Dude is a douchebag, plain and simple. A fake, wannabe WASP-er with his WASP-y pseudo-girlfriend for ‘political’ reasons and his poor, pedestrian mistress who was smarter than him and called his bluff for her own benefit – good for her. Can anyone say, “Bonfire of the Vanities”? Yeah. I thought so. If he thinks that politics are about pulling politricks, then how do you think he’d operate when he got into office? Idolizing David Miller is a far cry from actually running a city. I hope he disappears into the shallow chasm he oozed from.
