The latest survey from Ontario’s provincial government has found that graduates with an undergraduate degree still have higher employment rates and higher incomes than any other level of education. 85% of graduates had jobs in their fields within six months, and 92% did within two years.
According to the survey (pdf alert), the best programs for finding a job were forestry, dentistry, optometry, and veterinary medicine. Oddly enough theology, which had a scant 84% employment rate six months after graduation, increased to 100% by two years. Other programs with employment rates in the mid-eighties that increased to the low-nineties two years after graduation include physical sciences, mathematics, fine arts, and engineering.
