5 Reasons Guys Should Do Yoga

Yoga is not just for women or for the spiritually inclined. Seriously gentlemen, it’s time you’ve moved passed your misconceptions about yoga. The benefits of yoga can mean massive improvements to your overall health, physical fitness, wellbeing, and sex life. Yup, you read that correctly, your sex life. Which will become useful when meet a fit yoga babe with all of the yoga classes that you’re going to be attending from now on. Because who can resist a girl in tight yoga pants, right?

Better sex

A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine looked at a group of men between the ages of 24 and 60 who did yoga and found that the men were better in all sexual functions, such as desire, intercourse satisfaction, performance, confidence, partner synchronization, erection, ejaculatory control, and orgasms.

Mental health

Yoga has been shown to reduce symptoms of depression, stress, and anxiety as yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which counteracts the fight or flight system.

Better sleep

Yoga helps you sleep longer and with better quality. It has also been noted to help with sleep conditions.

Increases productivity

Doing yoga for just twenty minutes will stimulate brain function and improve your memory and the taking in of new information.

Improved strength and flexibility

If you think all yoga is relaxing, then you’re in for a surprise. Hot yoga, for instance, is a type of yoga in which you’re performing and holding a variety of poses in a room that’s about 40 degrees Celsius. Not only does this warm temperature make it easier for your muscles to loosen up, you’ll sweat buckets (seriously)! Meaning you get a great cardiovascular workout while also building muscle with the resistance strength building from the poses.
